The Longhorns
Yesterday was the branding of Long Horn Cattle....every photographers dream! I got to play with my camera after we brought them into the corrals and while they sorted the calves. These cattle belong to our neighbor George, the one who had a heart attack 3 weeks ago. He was there with his wife Sidney with their covered wagon, fire and dutch ovens cooking up a feast. Ted and I moved yearlings in the morning and then I rode across the river to Al's house where we then rode to one of Georges' pasture to gather. My saddle blanket was plenty wet and my horse tired.
